Pale Hue

For all the lullabies and late night talks, the lies I told, all the cigarette smoke. For tomorrow we die. The days are counting down but I’m playing coy to hide from memories perusing me in this labyrinth of life. Severing the lies, cutting out these ties, it’s the time of demise. Among the shattered remnants of remembrance, I could still grasp onto some emotion and recall some old times.


I love when the clouds bunch up above grey fields to let out their tears above the horizon.
I love to wake up to the ‘tip, tap’ noise from my window.
I hate the way the sand holds back the sea.
I hate when people tell you they love you because of obligation.
I hate the feeling of hitting rock bottom with no way out.
I hate realizing I grew apart from someone I loved so much.
